Kottayam: Thieves spread terror in Athirampuzha panchayath. Locals were horrified when CCTV footage showed the robbers wearing only underwear and carrying swords and axes in their hands. The armed group also tried to enter some houses. Police are investigating the incident. An unidentified group reached Thrikel and Manankapadam areas comprising five, six and seven wards of Athirampuzha panchayath on Saturday morning. CCTV footage showed a group of three armed men. These are areas close to the railway track. Attempts have also been made to rob four houses here. Weapons and clothing believed to be abandoned by the group were found.
