Kuwait bans entry of ships carrying goods to and from Israel

Kuwait lifts new sanctions against Israel Kuwait has banned merchant ships and boats from returning to and from Israel. The order was issued by the Minister of Public Works, Dr. Rana is Abdullah Al Faris.

He said the goods would be taken to other countries via Kuwait but would not be allowed entry. Under current law, Kuwaiti individuals and entities are not allowed to make any transactions or agreements with Israeli companies or individuals. The new order states that Israeli-made goods purchased from other countries may not be brought into or held in Kuwait.

Palestinian group Hamas welcomed Kuwait’s move. Hamas has called on other countries to take similar action. Kuwait is one of the countries that constantly criticizes Israel.
