Kuwait City: Kuwait has demanded that Ukraine’s sovereignty be respected and that bloodshed be stopped. Kuwait’s Ambassador Mansour al – Uthaybi announced the country’s position at an emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly convened in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine war. The Kuwaiti envoy said the Russia-Ukraine war posed a serious threat to peace and security not only in Europe but globally. Disputes should be resolved through diplomatic talks.

Kuwait will not accept military occupation. Ambassador Mansour al-Uthaibi added that millions of people would be displaced as refugees if the war continued. An extraordinary meeting of the Kuwaiti cabinet convened yesterday to discuss the situation surrounding the Russia-Ukraine war. The Cabinet reiterated Kuwait’s full support for international efforts to end Ukraine’s independence and conflict. The ministry said it viewed the situation with regret and concern and rejected the use of force by the military.
