Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said at the party congress seminar that KV Thomas is a leader who values what he says; CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that this is the day when KV Thomas will decide how long he will stay in the Congress. KV Thomas called the two dear comrades and established a new political friendship.
Whatever the outcome of the seminar organized by the CPM on ‘Center-State Relations’, the friendships shared at the seminar proved that KV Thomas had started a new relationship. Although he was not critical of the Congress leadership, he rejected many of the leadership’s positions.
The audience greeted Thomas’ address as’ Proud Chief Minister of Kerala, Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan ‘. He described Kodiyeri Balakrishnan as a long time friend. Thomas revealed that it was the CM who helped him make the right decision when he was confused about whether to attend the seminar or not.
Thomas moved on to ‘Central-State Relations’ by quoting Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Parliament. He described Rahul as a ‘young leader of the Congress’. At the inaugural function of the Nedumbassery Airport, the then Chief Minister EK Nayanar called on former Chief Minister K Karunakaran to turn around and enter into a consensus on development matters. In Delhi, Kerala MPs were accused of facing the development needs of Kerala.
Complaints about Silver Line should be resolved. The approach of not agreeing cannot be accepted as Pinarayi was brought in instead. If Stalin does something good for the state, all political parties will stand by it. But if Pinarayi dares to do so, he will face strong opposition. When a leader does good things he does not agree with criticizing it.

Thomas remembered Karunakaran for bringing in the Nedumbassery airport, but mentioned the Kochi Metro but did not mention the name of Oommen Chandy who led it.
