Lacrosse Women’s National Team World Championships 4 times in a row

The Korean women’s lacrosse team will participate in the world championships for the fourth time in a row.

The Korea Lacrosse Association announced on the 27th that “the women’s national team will participate in the 2022 World Women’s Lacrosse Championships to be held in Toson, Maryland, USA from the 29th to the 9th of next month.”

This is the fourth time the women’s national team, made up of office workers and college students, participated in the 2009 World Championships for the first time.

The national team will face off against Israel, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, and Norway in turn, and then play to determine the rankings.

Manager Jang Hyun-il said, “It is regrettable that I did not fully prepare in such a difficult situation, but all coaching staff and players will do their best not to be ashamed of the Taegeukgi engraved on their chest and will try their best to produce good results.”

Lacrosse is a ball game enjoyed by Native Americans in North America. It is a game in which players use a cross (a long racket with a net) to put rubber balls into the opposing goalposts located at both ends of the field, and the team that scores the most points wins.
