The players got injured during the Sri Lanka-Bangladesh match in Super 12. In the sixth over of the Bangladesh innings, Das was outraged at Lahiru Kumar’s wicket dismissal of Lytton Das. When Lahiru Kumara responded to this, things started moving towards a scuffle between the two stars. The incident did not get worse as his teammates intervened.

Sri Lanka easily surpassed Bangladesh’s target of 171 by five wickets. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat.
Sri Lanka lost Kushal Perera in the first over. Nissanka (24) and Charitha Asalanka then teamed up for Sri Lanka. The duo added 69 runs for the second wicket. After that, Avishka Fernando (0) and Vanindu Hazarenga (6) got out quickly and Rajapaksa helped Sri Lanka to victory. Asalanka and Rajapaksa combined for 79 runs to secure the victory. Rajapaksa was dismissed in the 19th over but Asalanka remained unbeaten.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost the toss and opted to bat, scoring 171 for four in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Mohammad Naim was the top scorer with 62 off 52 balls. In the final overs, Mushfiqur Rahim (57 * off 37 balls) was quick to help Bangladesh.
