[아시아경제 나예은 기자] In the United States, a couple in their 30s with five young children were infected with COVID-19 and died two weeks apart.

According to major foreign media on the 13th (local time), a nurse Davy Masias (37) and Daniel Masias (39), a middle school teacher, died after battling Corona 19 in Yukaipa, California, USA.

The couple were diagnosed with COVID-19 at the end of July, before their youngest daughter was born, after they went on vacation to an indoor water park and beach with their four children, ages 7, 5, 3, and 2. The young children recovered quickly, but the couple became increasingly ill and were hospitalized one after another.

After that, his wife Davy, who was treated on a ventilator in the intensive care unit, gave birth to her youngest daughter through a cesarean section on the 18th of last month, and died on the 26th of last month, eight days after giving birth. The family said Davy died without seeing her daughter.

Her husband Daniel also passed away on the 9th, following his wife. It is said that the husband died without even knowing that his wife died first, and many people feel sorry for him.

Meanwhile, the couple’s five children are said to be being cared for by their grandparents.
