Candidate Lee held an emergency press conference at the Central Party in Yeouido, Seoul on the morning of the same day and said, “I will ‘change politics’ with a new paradigm in which the people win.”
He said, “Thank you for the dedication of the seven (7 members) and the determination of CEO Song Young-gil. All state power must be used for the sake of the people,” he said. I will do a competent politics that does a good job,” he said.
Candidate Lee said, “I will form the youngest people’s cabinet in the history of the Republic of Korea. We will actively appoint the 3040th minister,” he added, adding, “I will no longer disappoint the people with a share-type revolving door greeting.”
He continued, “Every time I hear that this is an unprecedentedly unfavorable presidential election, I have no face to see the people. Opposition parties should also join in,” he said.

Lee Jae-myung’s political change will radically change the politics of Yeouido.
Respected people, I am Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
Korea is now facing four major crises. COVID-19 has disrupted the daily life of our people. The shadows of low growth and polarization are getting longer, and the resulting inequality is deepening.
The climate crisis is calling for a fundamental change in the economic and industrial structure of Korea. Corona 19 and the competition for hegemony between the U.S. and China are also adding to the uncertainty of the global supply chain. As of today, the number of confirmed cases has surpassed 13,000. With the spread of Omicron, the number of infected people is rapidly increasing. There is no way to express the pain our people are experiencing. The screams of small business owners and self-employed people from all over the country are vivid.
However, the real crisis comes after the election. We will face a crisis we have never experienced before. If we do not go through the tunnel of crisis, the Republic of Korea may face an unprecedented national disaster.
Fellow Koreans, this election is an election to select a president who will overcome the national crisis that lies ahead of us.
The leadership that will turn the crisis of great transformation before us into an opportunity for a new leap, the Republic of Korea desperately needs a competent president. Inexperienced and insecure leadership cannot save the Republic of Korea from crisis. Only skills, achievements, and proven leadership can overcome the current crisis.
I am Jae-myung Lee, a person who can immediately assume the presidency without practice. I dare to say that I am a ‘prepared president’ whose performance has been verified. Seongnam’s successful livelihood policy became Gyeonggi-do’s policy, and Gyeonggi-do’s successful livelihood policy spread throughout the country. I only made promises to keep, and I always kept my promises.
Now, it is a political change. Seven minutes of dedication, CEO Song Young-gil’s decision. thank you. All state power must be used for the sake of the people. The reason for the existence of politics should be a better life for the people.
But what about our politics now? Competent politics, who should take responsibility for the lives of the people, have suddenly become trapped in their own ‘Yeouido politics’, which forces others to subdue even by mobilizing confrontation, division, hatred and discrimination. It has turned into a solid established cartel that only protects its own interests, leaving the lives of the people behind.
The established politics locked in Yeouido cannot overcome the crisis. Unstable leadership cannot unite the people. The people are giving orders. “Stop the old politics and political politics that are far from the lives of the people” “Innovate politics in Yeouido, a feast for the vested interests” “Save the economy, take care of the people’s livelihoods, and change the lives of the people” We will do as the people command. We will “replace politics” with a new democracy appropriate for the era of great transformation and a new paradigm in which the people win. We will realize democracy that protects the lives of the people by eradicating unfairness, inequality, vested interests and generational change.
Lee Jae-myung’s political change is a major change. We will change the policy. We will abandon our ideology and camp, and make decisions with the people and take responsibility for practical policies that put the people first.
We will change generations. We will pave the way for the younger generation to stand tall as leaders in new politics.

The Lee Jae-myung administration will create a people’s cabinet and a unified government to overcome the crisis. Regardless of political faction or age, we will appoint a wide range of people who are absolutely necessary for the people to form a ‘completely new cabinet’.
