Lee Jung-min, who won the KLPGA Tour Dongbu Construction and Korea Land Trust Championship (total prize money of 1 billion won) held at Iksan Country Club (par 72) in Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do on the 17th, rose 18 places to 94th in the world rankings last week.
After winning the World Ladies Championship in March 2016 and reaching the 8-win mark, Lee Jung-min, who has not had a win-win relationship for over five years, is re-entering the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time in five years with this victory.
In the top ranking, Nelly Corda (USA) still maintained the top spot, while Korean players such as Jin-Young Ko (26), In-B Park (33), and Se-Young Kim (28) also maintained the 2nd-4th place as last week and there was no change.
The difference between Koda and Jinyoung Ko’s scores, which had narrowed to 0.29 points last week, widened slightly to 0.55 points.
However, as Koda decided not to participate in the LPGA Tour BMW Ladies Championship, which will start in Busan on the 21st, it is expected that Jin-young Ko, who has the advantage of a home course, will be able to retake the first place.
