Lee Kang-in, who played a big part in the World Cup, had a fierce declaration ceremony after returning to Mallorca

[골닷컴] Reporter Kang Dong-hun = South Korean national football team midfielder Lee Kang-in (21, Mallorca), who is regarded as the ‘next generation ace’, showed an incredible performance on the first stage of the World Cup, and he was warmly welcomed by his teammates after returning to his team.

On the 16th (Korea time), Spanish professional football Primera Liga Mallorca released a training video of Lee Kang-in, who left a deep impression by successfully playing an active role in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar through the club’s official YouTube channel.

In the video, Lee Kang-in had a rather rough ‘reporting ceremony’ before full-scale training. I was greeted with congratulations as I passed between my colleagues who were standing side by side in two rows. In particular, he was kicked in the butt by Benat Muriki (28), known as his ‘best friend’. It was a sort of ceremony to commemorate the active performance on the World Cup stage.

Lee Kang-in took the first World Cup step of his life by dramatically grabbing a ticket to Qatar. He played in all four matches and helped Bentoho advance to the round of 16. In particular, in the match against Ghana (2-3 loss), he helped the goal headed by Cho Kyu-seong (24, Jeonbuk Hyundai) with a sharp crossover a minute after coming on as a substitute.

After being eliminated in the round of 16 and returning to Korea after the tournament, Lee Kang-in took a short break and departed for Spain via Incheon International Airport on the 13th. Returning to his team, he began to improve his condition again before the resumption of the season.

Meanwhile, Lee Kang-in has taken part in 14 games in all competitions this season, recording 2 goals and 3 assists. The first game after returning is scheduled to be the second round of the Copa del Rey (King of Spain’s Cup) against Real Union, which will be held on the 21st at the Gall Stadium in Guipuzcoa, Spain.
