Lee Seung-gi, 300 million won to KAIST… 2.8 billion won contributed in one month

Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi donated 300 million won to KAIST.

According to KAIST on the 1st, Lee Seung-gi donated 300 million won to the science and technology development fund. The amount donated by Lee Seung-gi will be used for the development of science and technology as a new fund.

Lee Seung-gi plans to sign the KAIST development fund contract ceremony at KAIST’s Dogok Campus in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 3rd.

In November last year, during a legal battle with his agency Hook Entertainment, Lee Seung-gi announced that he would donate the entire amount, excluding litigation costs, to society of the 5 billion he earned in the name of bills without pay them. Lee Seung-gi said, “I wanted to spend it in a more meaningful place because that’s the money I found again.”

he went straight into action. 2 billion won was given to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital for a better treatment environment, and 550 million was given to the Korean Red Cross to support disaster relief activities by making mobile meal vehicles and blood donation buses to solve blood shortages. In addition, 300 million won was donated to KAIST, and the accumulated donation amount was more than 2.8 billion won in just one month.

Lee Seung-gi was the MC of JTBC’s entertainment program ‘Peak Time’, which will be broadcast for the first time on the 15th.
