Kollam: In the boxing ring, another sports surprise from Kollam. Lena Norbert, a 10th grader from Eravipuram, was selected for the May World School Gymnasium in France in May. The performance of the qualifying matches held in Bhubaneswar raised the talented player of the Kollam Sports Council to the international level. In the 75 kg category, he has progressed with consistent performance.
Lena is the only sportsperson from Kerala to have made it to the Indian boxing team. He has previously been a two-time state champion.
Boxing coach Bijulal is the coach. Eravipuram is the youngest daughter of Norbert Anthony and Gigi Norbert. Lena is a 10th class girl from Sreenarayana Trust School. Sports Council District President Ex. Ernest was dressed in gold.
