‘Lenin died of suffocation; Sunil later: Mother commits suicide after children die ‘| Suicide | Death | Kerala News | News from Kerala

Preliminary findings in the postmortem show that the death of a mother and her two sons in the incident in Mararikulam South Korthussery was the suicide of the mother, the youngest son and the death of the eldest son by suffocation. Ranjith’s wife Annie (54), children Lenin (36) and Sunil (32) were found dead at Kunnel house west of Korthussery on Sunday morning.

It was initially suspected that the children had been poisoned and the mother had hanged herself. Annie was found hanging in a living room. The children were lying dead on the bed in their rooms.

The police concluded: Lenin suffocated to death during the clashes between the brothers. Sunil hanged himself in grief over this. Annie was hanged when she saw her children dead in the morning. It is alleged that Anne committed suicide after taking Sunil and Len, who were hanging on the floor, and laying them on the bed in their room.

Mannancherry CI PK Mohit said it was clear that no outsider was involved in the deaths. He said this was evident in the examination conducted by the police dog, fingerprint experts and forensic experts. Samples of the organs of the three were sent to the Thiruvananthapuram Chemical Lab for detailed examination. The bodies, which were left to relatives at 7:30 pm after the postmortem, were brought home and buried at St. Vincent Pallotti Church.
