The city of Laval is preparing for the 2026 edition of the Les 3 Éléphants festival, which is scheduled to take place from May 21 to May 25, 2026. The event will transform the city center into a hub of music and street arts, featuring a programming slate that includes 30 concerts and 15 shows.

This year’s iteration focuses on a mix of ticketed performances and free public events, distributed across several key urban locations including the Théâtre de Laval, the Square de Boston, and the Cour du Lycée Ambroise Paré.

The festival’s musical lineup is headlined by a variety of artists across different genres. On May 24, 2026, Oxmo Puccino is scheduled to perform at the Théâtre de Laval. Other ticketed highlights include Cécile Lacharme, also performing on May 24, 2026, via a boat-concert.

The schedule for the opening days includes performances by Boko Yout, Maraboutage, and Théo Muller on May 21, 2026. Friday, May 22, 2026, will feature NeS and the JetLag Gang CLUB 6PAR4 #1. Saturday, May 23, 2026, will see Bertrand Belin at the Théâtre de Laval, alongside a curated set by NDK featuring Laze, Vitaline, and Joanna OJ.

A significant portion of the festival is dedicated to free accessibility, particularly centered around the Square de Boston. This venue will host several artists, including Sam Sauvage on May 21, 2026, and Alex Montembault and Nectar Woode on May 22, 2026. The free programming continues on May 23, 2026, with appearances by Asfar Shamsi and Ino Casablanca.

Beyond the musical stages, the festival incorporates street arts and performance companies. The Cour du Vieux-Chateau will host Cie Five Foot Fingers for the production L’Autre Dame de Paris on May 23 and May 24, 2026. Other street art contributions include Cie Lady Cocktail with De la mort qui tue at the Esplanade du Chateau-Neuf, and Cie Paon dans le ciment with Hune at the Cour du Lycée Ambroise Paré on May 23 and May 24, 2026.

The 2026 edition is also integrating interactive community elements. According to reporting from Ouest-France, the festival is introducing a game centered around artistic works created as part of the Fait main project.

The festival’s growth has drawn attention to its impact on the regional music scene. In a commentary on the event’s influence, the publication Sourdoreille noted:

The city of Laval in Mayenne is consciously becoming the epicenter of musical recommendation in the Great West. If that doesn’t make you want to become a resident of Mayenne, we don’t know what else to do.

Since its inception in 1998, Les 3 Éléphants has operated under a non-profit management model. The organization emphasizes its commitment to the Social and Solidarity Economy, focusing on values of inclusion, equality, and diversity to promote social cohesion within the community.

Logistical preparations are currently underway to manage the influx of visitors to the city center. Reports from Ouest-France and Laval agglo indicate a focus on improving accessibility and transportation options to accommodate the crowds during the five-day event.

The festival continues to evolve its format, with local media describing the current phase as a period of reinvention for the event as it seeks to balance its established traditions with new artistic surprises.
