‘Let’s get promoted to part 1!’… K League 2 Daejeon, Defeat Anyang to advance to promotion PO

Professional soccer K League 2 Daejeon Hana Citizen defeated FC Anyang and advanced to the promotion play-off (PO), one step closer to the dream of returning to K League 1.

Daejeon won a 3-1 comeback victory thanks to Park Jin-seop’s equalizer and Bio’s multi-goal in the away match between Anyang and Hana OneQ K League 2 2021 PO held on the 7th at Anyang Sports Complex.

This is the first time that a comeback win has occurred in the 8th K League 2 PO this year.

As a result, Daejeon, who finished 3rd in the regular league this season (58 points) and defeated Jeonnam Dragons in Jun-PO and Anyang in PO, will play a promotion PO with the 11th-placed team in K League 1 next month.

Daejeon, who spent 6 seasons in the 2nd division, which was relegated to the bottom of the K League Classic (1st division) in 2015, is challenging for promotion to the 1st division for the first time in 7 seasons.

On the other hand, Anyang, who placed 2nd in the club’s best record in the regular league this season, dreamed of advancing to the promotion PO for the first time since its foundation, and dreaming of being promoted to the first division, but failed to surpass Daejeon.

Anyang and Daejeon exchanged one goal each in the first half and continued the match without concessions.

The opening goal was scored first by the home team, Anyang.

In the 12th minute of the first half, the Daejeon defense made a mistake while exchanging passes, and Anyang’s ‘main gun’ Jonathan took advantage of this gap to intercept the ball, then sprinted to the left of the penalty area and put in a left footed shot.

With Anyang taking the lead in the attack, leading 1-0, Daejeon did not seem to be able to easily seize the opportunity to counterattack.

However, in the 32nd minute of the first half, captain Jin-seop Park’s ‘one shot’ exploded.

Park Jin-seop, who received a pass from Gong Min-hyeon and Won Ki-jong, scored the equalizer with a swift right-footed shot near the right side of the penalty arc.

The second half of the game got even hotter as both teams started hunting for additional goals.

Daejeon, which desperately needed additional goals, threw Kim Seung-seop in the 6th minute of the second half, and Gong Min-hyeon in the 17th minute and put Bio to the score.

Then Anyang also replaced Hong Chang-beom with Maeng Seong-woong, but Daejeon was the one where the replacement card shined.

In the 24th minute of the second half, as Bio kicked the ball from the left side of the penalty area with Lee Hyun-sik lightly from the center with his right foot, Daejeon succeeded in a 2-1 reversal.

Anyang could not reverse the flow again in the 27th minute of the second half, as Hyeon-Woo Joo’s right-footed shot was deflected by an opposing defender.

On the contrary, Daejeon in the 40th minute of the second half added an extra goal from Bio to put the tie into the win by two goals.
