Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes F1 finished the 2022 F1 Miami GP final in 6th place.
Lewis Hamilton, who started from the 6th grid, dropped the position at the start, but recovered it and proceeded with the race again in 6th place. However, the timing of the safety car favored teammate George Russell, who had extended the first stint with hard tires, and Hamilton, who stayed out, was overtaken by the old tires and took the checkered position in 7th place.
“Today we got good points as a team and we can move on with this,” said Lewis Hamilton.
“I was unlucky with the safety car and I’m waiting for my fortune to change, but until then I have to keep trying as hard as I can.”
