LGBTQ Pride Party led West West West Virginia

Morgantown, WV –

Pride festivals throughout the county are held celebrating LGBTQ culture.

In the past, Charleston Pride festivals have successfully held it for the first time but for the first time, Mid West West is proud to lead.

"Specifically enter Morgantownwe want to raise a community that is not well spoken to and we want to advocate for a group of people who have had a difficult time Appalachia, "Alex Miller told Morgantown Pride.

Morgantown Pride will hold a block party on Arch Street

on April 13, off to and not only celebrates the LGBTQ community, the block party will focus on a number of serious secondary issues including sexual health.

"If we educate one person and prevent them from making a mistake, we have done the job," said Miller.

Morgantown Pride is the first large-scale proud event in North Central South West Virginia, demonstrating that the traditional conservative mountain state is taking steps to become more comprehensive.

"We haven't had any pressure again but as we grow bigger, this could happen but so far the supportive community and surrounding communities have been," said Miller.
