Marakkar Movie Release & Review Highlights: The biggest big budget film ever made in Malayalam ‘Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea’ There are only hours left until the release. Priyadarshan- Mohanlal team’s cosmic film Woodcutters Arriving at the theaters around midnight today.
The film will be screened in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu on 4100 screens worldwide. The film had 16,000 screenings on its release day alone. From tomorrow, Marakkar will be screened in 626 out of 631 release screens in Kerala. The release of ‘Marakkari’ is a historic moment that breaks all previous records in Malayalam cinema.
The film tells the story of Kunjali Marakkar, the naval chief of the Zamorin dynasty. Priyadarshan had earlier revealed that ‘Marakkar’ will be a film that mixes history and imagination. Mohanlal will be seen in the fourth role of Kunjali Marakkar. Starring Manju Warrier, the film stars Action King Arjun, Sunil Shetty, Siddique, Prabhu, Baburaj, Keerthi Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan. The film will also feature South Indian and Bollywood stars as well as British and Chinese actors. Madhu is the first Kunjali Marakkar to appear in the film.
Pranav Mohanlal will play the lead role of Mohanlal in the upcoming Malayalam movie with a budget of Rs 70 crore. The film is a reunion of the new generation with a rich cast. Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan are also seen together in ‘Marakkari’.
The film also features Mohanlal and Priyadarshan reuniting after ‘Oppam’. Thiru is the cinematographer and Sabu Cyril is the art director. About 75% of the film was shot in Ramoji Film City.
The big budget film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas, Dr. CJ Roy under the banner of Confident Group and Santosh T Kuruvila under the banner of Moonshot Entertainment. Ronnie Raphael composes the music and Rahul Raj composes the background music.
