Ahmedabad: India vs Australia in the World Test Championship final. Sri Lanka, who posed little threat to India, lost to New Zealand in the first Test, and India secured the final. The World Test Championship final will be held at the Oval in England from June 7.
Australia, who are at the top of the points table, have already secured a place in the final. India was in second place. India had lost in the third Border Gavaskar Trophy battle.
With that, if Sri Lanka, who are third in the table, win both the Tests against New Zealand, India’s chances will be under threat. But after they failed in the first test, India were confirmed.
With the loss, Sri Lanka’s points stood at 52.78. India currently has 56.94 points. The fourth Test against Australia in Ahmedabad is likely to end in a draw. If that happens, India’s points will be 58.80.
