Lotte Chemical aims to produce 1.2 million tons of clean hydrogen by investing 6 trillion won by 2030 based on its core competencies such as large-scale users, mass supply chain, and eco-friendly technology, and achieve sales of 5 trillion won by distribution and use. has and To this end, Lotte Chemical builds hydrogen and ammonia-related cooperative relationships with various domestic and foreign companies and promotes business.

In Korea, we promote clean hydrogen and ammonia production and utilization projects, and we cooperate with KEPCO, Korea Southern Power, and Korea Midland Power to implement the government’s hydrogen economy revitalization policy. In order to ensure a stable supply of hydrogen and ammonia in East Asia and expand the market, it also established a cooperative relationship with Itochu Trading Co., a representative general trading company in Japan.

In addition, in order to secure future leadership in the hydrogen industry and preoccupy technology, it will jointly demonstrate ammonia photolysis technology for the first time in the world with Syzygy of the United States and Sumitomo of Japan. Hereby, Lotte Chemical is implementing the plan to contribute to the energization of domestic hydrogen and ammonia by demonstrating the world’s largest ammonia pyrolysis technology followed by photolysis technology.

The Korea National Oil Corporation has been playing its role as a public energy company for national energy security after the second oil shock, and is now rapidly transforming into a comprehensive energy company that plays a role in carbon neutrality in the transition to a new clean hydrogen era. .
