Lotte, Na Gyun-an 6.2 innings scoreless and Peters’ first two-run 4th consecutive loss

[아이뉴스24 류한준 기자] The Lotte Giants escaped from a losing streak against the Doosan Bears. Lotte won 4-0 against Doosan on the first day of three consecutive weekend away matches held at Jamsil Stadium on the 20th.

With this victory, Lotte broke the four-game losing streak and laid the foundation for a reversal of the atmosphere. 21 wins, 1 draw and 19 losses. On the other hand, Doosan’s losing streak has increased to the fifth consecutive game as they were caught by Lotte, and the record was 20 wins, 1 draw and 19 losses.

The leading role in Lotte’s victory is starting pitcher Na Gyun-an. In his first start of the season, Na Gyun-an threw 86 pitches in 6.2 innings against Doosan’s lineup, throwing 4 pita, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts and no score.

He decorated his first win of the season (1 hold) as a starter. As Na Gyun-an gained strength on the mound, DJ Peters helped out on the batting line. Peters fired the first two-run four (season 6) in the second inning, which was 0-0.

Peters, who came to the plate at first base safely, turned the 4th bat thrown by Doosan starting pitcher Robert Stark. The hit hit a two-run home run over the left wall, and Lotte took the lead.

Additional points came in the next inning. Ahn Chi-hong, who came out as the lead hitter in the 3rd inning, became the solver. He hit the 4th pitch thrown by Stark and became a solo four (season 7) passing the left middle fence.

Lotte, who took the lead 3-0, continued to score valuable additional points. Jun-woo Jeon got on base due to a defensive error at Doosan, and succeeded in tag-up play in the next batter Peter’s at-bat and went to second base.

Then, Hak-Joo Lee, who appeared at the plate, hit the right time, and Lotte widened the score to 4-0. It was a score created by Jun-woo Jeon’s base play, which came out in a two-team situation.

Doosan couldn’t save chances in the 2nd and 6th innings. At the end of the second inning, Jose Fernandes struck a deadly blow while at first base and the inning was over. The 7th inning became more disappointing for Doosan.

Lead hitter Kang Seung-ho took a double, and Kim Jae-hwan chose to walk to get first and second bases safely. However, follow-up hitter Park Se-hyuk hit a ground ball at shortstop and it led to a double play. The situation came to second and third base, and Lotte sighed.

Lotte Bench changed the mound to Kim Won-jung in place of Na Gyun-an. Kim Won-jung’s card worked. He finished the inning by turning Heo Kyung-min back to center fielder.

Afterwards, Lotte succeeded in defending baseball. Seungmin Koo in the bottom of the 8th and Junyong Chun in the bottom of the 9th took over the mound and kept the win by blocking the Doosan batting line with no runs.

Stark became a losing pitcher with 8 hits (2 homers) and 5 strikeouts (3 runs) in 6 innings. He had his second loss of the season (four wins). Lotte and Doosan will play their match on the second day of three consecutive matches at 2 pm on the 21st. Park Se-woong (Lotte) and Choi Won-jun (Doosan) are expected to be starting pitchers, respectively.
