The incident took place in Khaliyabaid village of Krishnapur union of the upazila on Thursday night.
Md. of Birgaon village of Krishnapur union of Mamun Mia upazila. Son of Abu Siddique. He was a tractor driver.
The family and locals of the deceased said that Mamun had a love relationship with a girl of Khaliyabaid village for a year. Both families knew about it. A few days ago, a marriage proposal was sent from Mamun’s family to the lover’s house. But the lover’s family did not agree. Went to his girlfriend’s house around 1pm on Saturday. But the lover did not meet. Later, around 2 am, Mamun called his younger brother and said, ‘Forgive me, maybe we won’t see each other again.’
Later he was called several times but did not receive. If he has doubts, go to the girl’s house. Then found his body hanging on the balcony of that house.
When the girl’s family was asked about this, they did not comment.
Krishnapur Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Mahbubur Rahman Dulal confirmed the truth of the incident and said that it could be a love affair.
In this regard, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Manohardi police station. Farid Uddin said, the body was recovered and sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue. A case of wrongful death has been registered at the police station in this incident.
