Lucknow: A taxi driver and a young woman came to the scene with an explanation on the harassment in Lucknow, which was discussed on social media. Shahadat Ali, a taxi driver who was beaten up on Nadu Road in Lucknow, and Priyadarshini, who beat him up, reacted through various media outlets.
The woman explained that the incident in which the taxi driver was beaten was in self-defense. ‘The car hit my body at a red light on the signal. Then I hit him and smashed the phone. The police and the locals were watching. Shouldn’t a girl do anything to protect herself while everyone else is watching? ‘ Priyadarshini asked. The woman said she had not apologized for beating the driver and that he deserved it.
‘What happened to the driver, I did it all. I have no regrets about that. He is a criminal. I have been experiencing this kind of harassment for the past year. No action is taken even if a complaint is lodged at the police station. The FIR has been registered against me in this case as well. The FIR was registered on charges of robbery. Registered. Meanwhile, Shahadat Ali, the driver who was assaulted by the woman, also came to the scene with an explanation of the incident. ‘The incident happened on the way home. The young woman who was crossing the road came back and beat me. The young woman’s claim that she was driving dangerously is false. But in the incident, the police first heard only the part of the young woman. And filed a case in my name. The young woman had smashed my boss’ mobile phone. The car was also damaged. The loss was Rs 60,000. They also tried to steal money from the dashboard of the car, ”explained Shahadat Ali.
