Lulu Group for legal action | National Highway | Lulu Group | Bridge

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lulu Group has filed a lawsuit against Lulu Mall for allegedly blocking an ISRO cargo container at Kazhakoottam due to a footbridge. Lulu is preparing for legal action against the media for providing fake news. The National Highways Authority also responded by saying that the news was fake.

The news spread that the upper bridge of the National Highway near Kazhakuttam pond was called Lulupalam. The news was published under the name Lulupala during the construction and allied activities which are completely under the control of the National Highways Authority. Authority officials had earlier said that the foot overbridge in front of Akkulam Lulu Mall was constructed by the National Highways Authority.

According to the National Highways Authority, five foot overbridges have been constructed in this manner on the Kazhakoottam-Karot bypass. The Lulu Group responded by saying that the lie against Lulu was spread in a situation where private individuals were not allowed to build bridges or foot-overbridges on national highways or state highways. Lulu Group Media Co-ordinator NB Swaraj said that they were preparing to take legal action against the media for giving fake news on the incident.
