The American owners of the French club Lyon say that they have the same ability to make money as the PSG, which is owned by Qatar. John Texter, an American investor, said that their goal is to win trophies and that they are starting to spend money on them.
Lyon have not won a French league title since 2008. PSG, meanwhile, has become one of the best clubs in Europe since the takeover of Qatar and has become one of the strongest in the French league over the years. But Texter thinks they can overcome PSG.

“I do not like models like PSG. Everyone loves to see them as a great team, with great athletes anyway. We’re trying to get ahead of them over the years. We’ll start spending money and showing strength.” He said at a press conference.
Texter, who is also the former executive chairman of Fubo TV, said they could spend as much on Lyon as the Emir of Qatar spends on PSG. He is also one of the co-owners of Crystal Palace, which recently acquired ownership of Lyon.
