Sethu will be writing and directing the film after ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’ starring Mammootty. Asif Ali and Mamta Mohandas have teamed up for a long time after Sathyan Anthikkad’s ‘Story Continues’.
The film tells the story of a triangular love affair. Mahesh, a very ordinary young man, falls in love with two people. One was with a Maruti car and the other with a girl named Gauri.
Mahesh’s father Panmanabhan, who was working in Delhi in 1983, arrives in his hometown of Cheruthonithuruthu with a Maruti car that can be described as beautiful. Mahesh’s love affair with the Maruti car brought by his father is full throughout the film.
Along with this, a girl named Gauri also added color to his life. So Mahesh falls in love twice. This love is presented through humorous moments and family backgrounds.
Introduced by Indira Gandhi in 1983, the Maruti car is used for this film in the same condition and look as it was released from the showroom. Sethu said that Maruti has helped a lot in renovating it.
It reflects the background of Maruti and the cultural transformation that Maruti’s growth has brought to Kerala. Mahesh’s father Padmanabhan plays an important role in this film. This character is played by Maniyan Pillai Raju.
Vijay Babu, Prem Kumar, Vijay Nellies and many newcomers are in the cast. Kedar has composed the music for Hari Narayanan’s lyrics.
