The Prime Minister said that the performance of the women’s hockey team at the Tokyo Olympics will always be remembered. Despite losing the medal by a slight margin, the team brought out the spirit of the new India. The Prime Minister said that the performance of the women’s team was an inspiration to the girls of the country to enter hockey.

A prize of Rs 50 lakh has been announced for each member of the Indian women’s hockey team from Haryana. Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar made the announcement. The team consists of nine members from Haryana.
