Meanwhile, the central team will return to assess the Kovid spread in the state. The visit of the central team comes at a time when the spread of the disease has not abated. In Kerala, Kovid-19 was confirmed for 22,056 people on Wednesday. For the second day in a row, the number of patients per day crossed 22,000. Malappuram 3931, Thrissur 3005, Kozhikode 2400, Ernakulam 2397, Palakkad 1649, Kollam 1462, Alappuzha 1461, Kannur 1179, Thiruvananthapuram 1101, Kottayam 1067, Kasaragod 895, Wayanad 685, Pathanamthitta 549 and Idukki 375 districts were diagnosed with the disease yesterday.
The highest inspection in the state took place last day. 1,96,902 samples were tested in 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 11.2. Routine Sample, Sentinel Sample, CB Nat, Trunat, POCT. PCR, RT A total of 2,67,33,694 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing. It was confirmed yesterday that 131 deaths in the past few days were due to Kovid-19. This brings the total death toll to 16,457.
Of those diagnosed on Wednesday, 120 were from outside the state. 20,960 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 876 is not clear. The worst affected districts are Malappuram 3679, Thrissur 2989, Kozhikode 2367, Ernakulam 2296, Palakkad 1196, Kollam 1451, Alappuzha 1446, Kannur 1086, Thiruvananthapuram 991, Kottayam 1017, Kasaragod 875, Wayanad 676, Pathanamthitta 527 and Idukki 364.
About 100 health workers were affected. Health workers in Kannur 18, Palakkad and Kasaragod 14 each, Pathanamthitta 10, Kottayam 8, Kollam, Thrissur 7 each, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam 5 each, Alappuzha, Wayanad 4 each, Kozhikode 3 and Malappuram 1 were affected.
Of the 17,761 people diagnosed and treated, the disease was cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1226, Kollam 2484, Pathanamthitta 488, Alappuzha 624, Kottayam 821, Idukki 355, Ernakulam 1993, Thrissur 2034, Palakkad 1080, Malappuram 2557, Kozhikode 2091, Wayanad 441, Kannur 1025 and Kasaragod 542 were cured. With this, 1,49,534 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 31,60,804 people have so far been freed from Kovid.
There are currently 4,46,211 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 4,19,098 are under home / institutional quarantine and 27,113 in hospitals. A total of 3125 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
