Hwasa, who rose to the ‘issue maker’ at once with daring performances and costumes, confessed frankly about her feelings about malicious comments related to her appearance.

About the situation at the time, Hwasa recalled, “I felt unfortunate. It was all for me to communicate with fans through music, but to the point that I didn’t want to do music.” He continued, “I’ve been lonely in conflicts about whether it’s better to be a bad person than living like an idiot,” he said, “It’s not an emotion I feel alone, it’s probably a conflict that most people in the world face.”

Hyori Lee, a ‘sexy diva’ famous for her close friendship with Hwasa, also drew attention by sharing her thoughts on Hwasa’s rise to become an issue maker. Hyori Lee mentioned the issue of Hwasa not wearing underwear, and she said, “She is not the type of person Hwasa intends to do. It must have been natural.”

In addition, ‘MMM_where are we now’ contains the work process of Hwasa, who recorded a mega hit with her first solo album ‘Maria’, as well as Mamamoo’s view of the world leading to ‘Maria’ and ‘HIP’.

Wave’s original ‘MMM_Where are we now’ is a 4-part (120 minutes) documentary about the 7-year process from the debut of Mamamoo, the self-proclaimed Korea’s most talented girl group to the top, and the growing pains of the members.
