The video song of ‘Kuruthi’ directed by Manu Warrier with Prithviraj in the lead has been released. The lyrics of the song ‘Vettamrigam’ have been penned by Rafeeq Ahmed. Music by Jacques Bijoy. Sung by Zia ul Haq and Rashmi Satheesh.
‘Kuruthi’ is the first Malayalam movie directed by Manu Warrier, who directed the Bollywood movie ‘Coffee Bloom’. The film is a socio-political thriller. Prithviraj will be joined by Roshan Mathew, Manikandan R Acharya, Murali Gopi, Navas Vallikkunnu, Shine Tom Chacko, Nasreen, Shrinda, Sagar Surya and Mamukoya. Produced by Prithviraj himself under the banner of Prithviraj Productions.
The film is written by Aneesh Palyal and the cinematography is by Abhinandan Ramanuja. Music by Jacques Bijoy. Editing by Akhilesh Mohan. Chief Associate Director Irshad Parari. The movie was released on the 11th of this month through Amazon Prime as a direct OTT release. Kuruthi was the Onam release of Prithviraj. The film had earlier announced a theatrical release. It was originally announced to be released on May 13th. But the producer changed his mind when Kovid closed theaters in the second wave. After ‘Cold Case’, Prithviraj will be seen in the Prime Video.
