Heung-Min Son was named side by side in the Neville and Kerager Best 11

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Eui-jin = Gary Neville, a legend and commentator for Manchester United in the English Premier League (EPL), has named Son Heung-min (30, Tottenham) as the EPL Player of the Year for the 2021-2022 season.
On the 16th (local time), Neville appeared on ‘Monday Night Football’, a soccer professional program of Sky Sports, a British broadcaster, and selected Son Heung-min as the best player in the EPL this year.
Neville said, “Everyone likes Son Heung-min, and I think he can play in any team in the world. Heung-min Son is not receiving the recognition he deserves.”
Next, he explained why Heung-Min Son was selected over Salah, saying that Heung-Min Son is only one goal behind even though he is playing for a team that lacks support compared to Mohammad Salah (Liverpool), who is competing for the top scorer.
Until the EPL Round 37 match against Burnley, Son Heung-min recorded 21 goals and 7 assists in the league alone. He is second behind Salah, who scored 22 goals.
Liverpool commentator Jamie Carragher, who also appeared with him, voted Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne as the Player of the Year, but put Son Heung-min on the season’s Best 11 list.
Both cast members selected 11 players this season according to the 4-3-3 formation, and Son Heung-min took the left forward position.
Both selected Tottenham’s signature Harry Kane, who was paired with Son Heung-min, for the center striker position, and the top scorer competitor Salah for the right striker position.
Also, the two commentators agreed on the selection of De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Virgil van Dijk, and Alisson Becker (Liverpool).
Neville and Carragher both named Declan Rice (West Ham United) as Young Player of the Year and Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) as Manager of the Year.
