All four EPL teams reached the round of 16

The English Premier League (EPL) is the most popular league in the world among the major European professional football leagues. Naturally, many stars are playing in the EPL. That is why, recently, EPL teams have been strong in European club competitions. This is also evident in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) for the 2021-2022 season. All four EPL teams participating in this UCL have reached the round of 16.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have already confirmed their progress to the round of 16, and Manchester City (Man City) have decided to advance to the round of 16 on the 25th. Manchester City defeated Paris Saint-Germain (France, PSG) at the Manchester City Stadium in Manchester, England on the same day in the UCL Group A match 5 2-1. PSG also lost on the same day, but secured 2nd place in the group with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss, and advanced to the round of 16.
PSG scored the first goal in a match between the two teams that ended 0-0 in the first half. In the 5th minute of the second half, when Lionel Messi’s ground cross hit a Manchester City defender and the direction was slightly changed, Kylian Mbappe scored the first goal with a right footed shot between the goalkeeper’s legs. However, in the 18th minute of the second half, Raheem Sterling equalized the score, and in the 31st minute of the second half, Gabrieu Jesus got a pass from Bernardo Silva and scored a comeback goal to make it 2-1.
Liverpool, who had already secured the top spot in Group B, also beat FC Porto (Portugal) 2-0 with Thiago Alcantara in the 7th minute and Muhammad Salah in the 25th minute with goals in the second half, continuing their 5th consecutive group victories. Liverpool are 10 points ahead of second-placed FC Porto.
Until today, Group A Manchester City and PSG, Group B Liverpool, Group C Ajax (Netherlands) and Sporting CP (Portugal), Group D Real Madrid and Inter Milan, Group E Bayern Munich (Germany), Group F Manchester United, Group H Chelsea and Juventus 11 teams including (Italy) advanced to the round of 16. Except for the EPL, none of the leagues have confirmed that all teams have advanced to the round of 16.
