Manchester City scored an additional goal. In the 43rd minute of the first half, David Silva, who took over a cross from Gabriel Jesus, shook Villa’s net with a left-footed volley. The first half ended with Manchester City leading 2-0.
Even Pilate did not fall easily. In the 2nd minute of the second half, Ollie Watkins hit the ball over from a corner kick with a right-footed shot and it continued to score. However, no further goals were scored and the match ended in a 2-1 win for Manchester City.
