Heung-Min Son (30, Tottenham) of the English Premier League (EPL) failed to win the Player of the Month award for the fourth time in his career.
The EPL Secretariat announced on the 15th (Korean time) that Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling had been selected as the ‘Player of the Month’ for December 2021.
Heung-Min Son, who scored 4 goals and 1 assist in 5 games last month, was also included in the nominations, but was not named as the winner because of Sterling. Son Heung-min has received the Player of the Month award three times since joining Tottenham.
Sterling, who became the best player in December, led Manchester City’s lead with five goals and one assist last month, and scored his 100th goal in the Premier League.
Sterling won the Player of the Month for the third time in his career.
