Manchester United’s recent struggles continue to escalate as they face internal conflicts following the departure of Sancho and Anthony, as well as Wan-Bissaka’s injury. The renowned football media outlet, Sports Bible, reported today that a violent confrontation took place between four Manchester United players in the locker room after their disappointing 3-1 loss to Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

This defeat against Brighton in the 5th round home game of the 2023/24 season has pushed Manchester United down to the 13th place in the league. With only 2 wins, 3 losses, and 6 points from the opening 5 games, the team’s performance has been far from satisfactory.

According to The Sun, anger erupted in the dressing room after the game, resulting in two separate conflicts. Captain Bruno Fernandes engaged in a heated confrontation with his midfield teammate Scott McTominay, while midfielders Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof were also involved in clashes.

Rumors surrounding the club’s new signing, Rasmus Hoilun, escalated when he was replaced on his debut on Saturday. Furthermore, disappointed fans expressed their discontent with boos during the final whistle, highlighting United’s dark spell of performances.

Manchester United’s transfer market activities have also been subject to criticism. The lack of any takeover deal and the mishandling of Mason Greenwood’s situation have been seen as disappointing by fans and experts alike.

In addition, Brazilian winger Anthony is currently on an extended holiday amidst allegations of domestic violence and assault, while Jadon Sancho has been excluded from the first team after refusing to apologize to Ten Haag.

Questions have now arisen regarding Ten Haag’s leadership. Former Watford striker Troy Deeney criticized Ten Haag, stating, “A manager in this day and age must be cautious when commenting on players.” Deeney further added, “If United lose three out of their next five games, the pressure will undoubtedly be on Ten Haag. Manchester United currently lacks organization and appears to be a club without a clear direction. There is nothing to suggest that they will achieve success this season.”

It is fair to question Ten Haag’s impact on the team, as the players he has brought in have failed to perform up to expectations. The club is riddled with numerous issues that need to be resolved in order for them to succeed this season, making the current situation a total crisis for Manchester United.
