Mangaluru, Aluva – Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra has said that he has asked the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to conduct further investigation into the oven bomb blast in an auto-rickshaw in Naguri, Mangaluru. DGP Praveen Sood said that central investigating agencies including the NIA have cooperated with the police in investigating the case and the case will be officially handed over to the NIA as soon as possible.

The two visited the blast site and inspected the wrecked autorickshaw. The minister visited the driver Purushothama who is undergoing treatment at Father Muller Hospital and handed over Rs. The DGP said that the accused had planned an explosion that would cause massive damage. Accused Shariq has traveled to different parts of the country under a false address. Investigation is going on in 8 places like Kochi, Nagercoil, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Kanyakumari etc.

A team of four members of the Anti-Terrorism Squad searched the lodge near the Aluva KSRTC bus stand where Mangaluru blast master Mohammad Shariq stayed. Only 2 senior officers from the rural police area were informed to avoid leaking inspection information.

Shariq is said to have stayed at the lodge in Aluva for 5 days. Meanwhile, the messengers who came to the direction of the lodge were received. The investigation team does not believe that Shariq Kurier, a native of Shimoga, Karnataka, came to Aluva to take a room and stay there just to get money.
