The Media & Development Institute (IMD) is rising from its ashes after a long period of lethargy. Its members met on Saturday March 25, 2023 in Cotonou, to hold their Extraordinary General Assembly (AGE). The aim for them is to relaunch the activities of the institute. At the end of their meetings, they elected Manlonhan Rodrigue Landine Hodé as Chairman of the Board of Directors for a three-year term. After renewing the heads of the governing bodies of the association, the Extraordinary General Assembly set clear and precise objectives for the newly elected members. At the head of an office of 7 members, the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Manlonhan Rodrigue Landine Hodé has the heavy responsibility of promoting the association nationally and internationally. “IMD is a force of ideas and proposals. We have a lot to contribute, through reflection and action, in our areas of intervention”, declared Manlonhan Rodrigue Landine Hodé. A non-profit association created in 2008, the IMD is interested in issues related in particular to Governance, Peace and Security, Violent Extremism and Terrorism, Climate and the Environment. Faced with the major issues of the day, she reiterated IMD’s firm commitment to take an active part in building a world of peace and social justice. It must be said that the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Manlonhan Rodrigue Landine Hodé is a journalist by profession and consultant-trainer in communication and media strategies.
