Masks are no longer mandatory in the UAE Pravasi | Deshabhimani

Manama > More relaxation in UAE from Wednesday on Covid restrictions. Masks are prohibited in closed rooms and public areas. However, masks are required in hospitals, churches and public transport. All food service providers, coronavirus patients and suspected cases must wear masks.

Masks can be worn in schools and public places. Masks are not mandatory on flights, but appropriate airlines may make masks mandatory if necessary.

Quarantine of covid victims has been done for five days. No quarantine or PCR testing is required for contacts. The Abu Dhabi National Disaster Management Committee also announced that the duration of the green ticket has increased from 14 to 30 days. In accordance with the Green Ticket, a PCR test is mandatory for unvaccinated people every 7 days and every 30 days for vaccinated.

No more daily declarations of covid cases. Updates are only available on the official website of the Disaster Management Authority of the Ministry of Health.

The UAE is withdrawing the veil requirement after two and a half years. Restrictions are being eased against a backdrop of low new Covid cases and deaths. The first case of Covid in the UAE was reported on January 20, 2020.
