BOSTON (CBS) – Massachusetts seems to lose the mark when it comes to welcoming people outside the home. A new list from the Big 7 travel website in the Commonwealth 47 is on its list of most friendly states.
“Local people don't just have a bad mood, per se, but the overall indifference to strangers can do their toll,” says the website. “People who ignore Massachusetts among America's most friendly states are not just a characteristic.” T
Delaware, Arkansas and New York are the only state tracking Massachusetts. New England does not even break the top 30, and Maine is doing the best when he is friendly at 31.
Minnesota was admitted at No. 1 in the list, and Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas and Wyoming later. The ratings are based on first impressions at airports and train stations, as well as local attitudes to tourists.
