Seven vehicles were involved in a collision on the Cheongju Expressway in North Chungcheong Province. The incident occurred around 6:51 pm on the 21st, near the Ochang IC on the downline of the Jungbu Expressway in Ochang-eup, Cheongju. Among the eight vehicles involved were two trucks, a commuter bus, and five passenger cars.
As a result of the accident, 23 individuals sustained injuries and were promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention. Those injured include the driver of lorry A, who is in their 40s, as well as various bus passengers. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the precise circumstances that led to the collision and believe it was initiated when Mr. A’s 25-tonne lorry collided with the bus.
Subsequent to the accident, the affected area experienced severe traffic congestion for approximately an hour. As authorities delve into the details surrounding the incident, it is vital to ensure the accuracy of their findings.
