Maternal death due to wrong treatment

It has been alleged that a pregnant woman named Rupali (25) died due to doctor’s mistake during caesarean operation. The incident took place at Al-Hera Digital Diagnostic Center and Hospital in Jashodal area of ​​Sadar Upazila on Sunday night.

According to the police, Rupali is the maternity wife of Pauline Mia, a Saudi Arabian expatriate of Barakhal village of Chodashad Union. His relatives admitted him to Al-Hera Digital Diagnostic Center and Hospital yesterday afternoon. Doctor Dr. Akhter Nahar takes Jyoti Rupali to the operation theater for a caesarean section. After some time Rupali gave birth to a boy.

Relatives of the deceased Rupali alleged that even after a long time passed after the birth, Rupali was not being taken out of the operation theatre. Later, Rupali was taken out of the operation theater in an unconscious state around 9 pm. The officials of that diagnostic center took Rupali to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital without informing her relatives. But Rupali died before reaching Mymensingh around 10 pm. The hospital officials ran away soon after this incident.

Inspector (Investigation) of Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station. Mukhleshur Rahman said that no one in charge of the hospital was found. Police are investigating the matter. Legal action will be taken after receiving the statement of the case in this incident. Besides, the dead housewife’s body has been sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed general hospital morgue for post-mortem.
