(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Gyu-bin Hong = Broadcaster MC Ding-dong (43, real name Huh Yong-woon), who was accused of running away after running into a police car after being caught drunk driving, was sentenced to a suspended sentence in the first trial.

On the 21st, the 13th Criminal Settlement Division of the Seoul Northern District Court (Chief Judge Oh Kwon-cheol) sentenced Heo, who was indicted on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and obstruction of the execution of special duties, to 1 year and 6 months in prison and 2 years of probation.

Heo is suspected of running away without responding to a stop request when he was caught driving a car in a drunken state at 9:30 pm on February 17, this year near Hawolgok-dong, Seongbuk-gu. He is also charged with running into a police car and injuring a police officer during the escape.

At that time, Mr. Heo was arrested by the police after about 4 hours, and as a result of a breathalyzer test, it is said that his blood alcohol level was at the level of license revocation (over 0.08%).

The court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, “The crime is heavy and there is a high possibility of condemnation.”
