The actor who currently owns seven Ballon d’Or awards is also at the top of the Ballon d’Or award possibility for the best actor in 2022.
England defender Kieran Trippier has said that Messi was the most difficult player in his career and that he is a player who creates magic on the pitch.
Trippier added that Messi moves magically on the pitch and that it is almost impossible to take the ball off his feet.
“I have faced many stars in my long career. But the hardest player for me to play against is Messi. Dealing with it is a difficult task. He moves forward with magic on the field.
“So it’s almost impossible to take the ball off his feet,” said Trippier.
Trippier, who currently plays for English Premier League club Newcastle United, previously played for Spanish league club Latico Madrid.
He has had the opportunity to play against Messi four times during his time at Latico and Trippier has faced Messi while playing for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
Trippier also managed to keep two clean sheets against Messi.
Trippier currently leads Newcastle United’s defensive unit. The club, which is performing well in the Premier League, is currently third in the league table with 39 points from 20 games.
Newcastle United’s next game is against West Ham United on February 4.
