[メキシコ(マタモロス) 9日 ロイター] – Drug cartels linked to the kidnapping of four Americans in Mexico last week issued five of the alleged “perpetrators” as an apology. Researchers and others have revealed.

The incident happened in the border town, Matamoros on the 3rd. Two Americans and a Mexican were shot dead, and four Americans, including the two dead, were found in the suburbs on Saturday.

Government documents seen by Reuters show the Mexican Gulf Cartel is believed to have been responsible for the abduction, and that American victims may have thought they were trespassing on their territory.

Mexican media published a photo of what is believed to be a letter from another group of the cartel. It was written that he apologized for the incident and handed over the five people involved in the abduction. Investigative sources in Mexico confirmed the extradition but expressed doubt that the five were responsible for the crime.
