Microsoft and AMD Collaborate with ‘Halo Infinite’ to Unveil PC Optimized Version

Microsoft announced that it has entered into an engineering and marketing partnership with AMD to enhance the gaming experience of the ‘Halo Infinite’ PC platform, which will be released on December 9, and has been developing games with PC optimization in mind from the early stage of game design.

‘Halo Infinite’, which will be released simultaneously on both console and PC platforms for the first time, provides frame rate per second (FPS) and field of view (FOV) control, ultra-wide screen support, triple key binding, and low latency to provide a console-like gaming experience on PC. (low-latency), performance scalability (performance scalability), and a variety of features such as cross save between console and PC are loaded.

Microsoft has been working closely with AMD for the past two years to develop the ‘Halo Infinite’ console game as a PC-oriented game from the beginning rather than the concept of porting it to the PC. Optimizing game play on devices and consoles with various specifications, from low-end computers to the latest high-end computers, was also done in partnership with AMD.

In particular, Microsoft has been working with the AMD engineering team to optimize the performance of the AMD Ryzen Processor, and the highest performing AMD Radeon RX 6000 (AMD Radeon RX 6000) series graphics based on the AMD RDNA2 gaming architecture are optimized for maximum performance. Efforts have been made to make it usable. In addition, we have prepared a driver update that can significantly increase FPS in the campaign mode of ‘Halo Infinite’.

Microsoft and AMD will continue to work together to come up with an optimization solution that applies to both PC and console platforms, including more configuration options, performance and memory improvements, and will provide additional features such as ray tracing after the game is released. plan to support.

Additionally, Microsoft is celebrating its partnership with AMD by developing the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Halo Infinite Limited Edition graphics card. Inspired by the armor of Halo’s protagonist, the Master Chief, this limited-edition graphics card features a green body with iridium gold fan rims and is engraved with the distinctive Spartan number 117. The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is powered by the same architecture as the AMD RDNA2 gaming architecture applied to the Xbox Series X|S console.

The ‘AMD Radeon RX 6900 Halo Infinite Limited Edition Graphics Card’ is not sold on the market, and it is expected to be available in event promotions from Microsoft, AMD and other partners in the future.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has also collaborated with partners such as Discord and Razer on the external part of the game to further enrich the gaming experience of ‘Halo Infinite’. Halo Infinite is integrated into Discord to support sending of Discord server invitations, and by applying Razer Chroma RGB to the game, it supports a more special lighting experience when using the Razer keyboard.
