Military facilities in central Iran hit by drone … Total defense success without damage

Ministry of National Defense “Intercepted 2 out of 3 drones… There is no disruption to the operation of military equipment production facilities”
An Israeli newspaper quoted Western sources reporting a “successful attack on advanced weapons development facilities”

Drones attacked Iran’s inland military facilities on the night of the 28th (local time), the state-run IRNA news agency reported.

Iran’s Ministry of Defense announced that a self-destructing drone attacked a military equipment production facility in the province of Isfahan, about 350 km south of the capital Tehran, at around 11:30pm on the same day.

“Two of the three drones that attempted the attack were intercepted by the air defense system, and the other landed on the roof of the facility,” the ministry said in a statement.

“No life was lost from the drones, and there was minor damage to the roof of the building,” said the ministry. “This attack attempt failed.”

“By the grace of God, this attack did not disrupt the operation of our military equipment production facilities,” the ministry added.

Western media reports are divided as to which facility was hit by the drone that day.

Bloomberg reported that the ammunition depot had been hit by a drone, and AFP said there were nuclear facilities in the area, including a uranium conversion facility.

The Associated Press reported that the area is home to an air base and a nuclear-fueled research center that operates F-14 Tomcat fighters delivered from the United States before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Iranian military authorities did not disclose which equipment production facility was targeted.

The Israeli daily Jerusalem Post quoted Western intelligence sources and reported that “four explosions targeted facilities involved in the development of advanced weapons, which is also confirmed through social media.”

The newspaper also added, “This attack was a resounding success, with damage far exceeding the ‘minor damage to the roof’ claimed by the Iranian side.”

Along with this, an explosion occurred at an oil refinery in an industrial complex in the northwestern city of Tabriz.

The cause of the accident was not known.

Iran and Israel, rivals in the Middle East, have been attacking each other through so-called ‘shadow wars’ where no traces of an attack are revealed.

It is an open secret that Israel, which has shown extreme rejection of Iran’s nuclear armament, secretly attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities and directly or indirectly intervened in the assassination of Iranian officials.

It is known that Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, directly carried out the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Park Lizade in 2020, and also carried out the sabotage (sabotage) of the Natanz nuclear facility in 2021.
