Milma will increase the price of milk by Rs 6 per liter considering the significant increase in production cost. Milma Malabar District Union Chairman KS Mani said in a press conference that the price will increase from December 1. The farmer will get 83.75 percent (Rs. 5,025) commensurate with the increase. Co-operatives and milk distributors will each get 5.75 per cent of the increase and the Dairy Farmers Welfare Fund Board will pay 0.50 per cent. 3.50 percent will be earmarked for MILMA and 0.50 percent for a plastic disposal fund. The last time Milma increased the price of milk was in 2019. Four rupees were collected that day.
