Ministry of Science and ICT invests 27.7 billion in metabus support… 13 task operators compete

The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Lee Jong-ho), together with the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (President Heo Seong-wook) and the Korea Radio Promotion Association (Chairman Hwang Hyun-sik), are calling for a business executive on for the ‘Metabuse Leadership Project’ 2023 and the ‘Convergence Content Development Project’ announced on the 8th.

This competition, which runs from the 9th to the 10th of April, includes 13 tasks in four areas: ▲Public ▲Industrial Convergence ▲Leading Technology ▲Regional, and supports a total of 20.6 billion won.

First of all, in the public sector, pilot system ▲ Metabus Synthetic Training Environment (STE) ▲ Metabus Cemetery platform, etc., will be supported with a total of 4 billion won and 2 billion won, in respectively, for two years.

In the field of industrial convergence, a total of 3 billion won is supported for 2 years each for two tasks, ▲ Metaverse Healthcare Platform and ▲ Metaverse Education Platform for students with health disabilities in elementary, middle and high schools.

In addition, ▲ a total of KRW 6 billion was supported for three years for the task of checking the eco-friendly performance of domestic small and medium ships based on the metabus, and ▲ a total of KRW 7.5 billion was selected for three years for each task by selecting two task for upgrading the industrial complex based on the metabus for innovation of the aging industrial complex.

In the field of technology leadership, a total of 4 billion won over two years is supported for the task of upgrading the performance of domestic augmented reality (AR) devices and building a content production ecosystem through cooperation with global companies. ▲ A total of 2 billion won will be supported for 2 years for each task by selecting two tasks to develop a new type of metaverse platform and intelligent service based on super large artificial intelligence (AI) and Web 3. ▲ Total supported of 4 billion earned for two years to build a virtual environment studio where anyone can create metaverse media content and develop services.

In the regional field, we intend to support a total of 1.6 billion won for two years by selecting two metabus service development tasks linked to specialized regional resources such as ▲tourism and history.

In addition to this, the convergence content development support project plans to invest a total of 7.15 billion won by selecting about 32 new tasks among freely offered tasks in two areas, the metaverse creation project and the convergence metaverse service.

Among them, in the field of metaverse creative projects, select about 16 creative content development and commercialization tasks of various types that can generate profit in the metaverse environment, such as digital art, content related to real products, and services of a kind billion subscription. in support
