The fatal storm that has been driving across the US for the past week is finally starting to move out of the Northeast as residents in California prepare for a new storm system that would cause heavy rain and snow into the Golden State.
Since the storm system, named the Ezekiel Winter Storm, was created last week, it left a lot of misleading there because thousands of people are still without power.
The winter storm caused power outages throughout New Jersey where 12 inches of snow fell in certain areas. In New Jersey alone, Jersey Central Power and Light are reporting nearly 37,000 power breaks from Tuesday morning.
First responders in New Jersey also said there were at least 400 crashes between Monday morning and Tuesday morning.
According to Flightaware.com, over 700 flights were delayed by the US and 200 flights canceled from 10am on Tuesday.
More than 200 schools were closed or Tuesday morning openings were delayed throughout New Jersey.
And the storm is not completely over. The National Weather Service (NWS) said Ezekiel's Winter Storm will continue to bring heavy snow to eastern parts of New England's Tuesday.

The NWS issued a winter storm warning to the coastal areas of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine and a winter weather consultation for southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

What was like was a three-day storm, two storms were actually there, said Justin Arnott from NWS, in Gray, Maine. It is complicated from the perspective of the view that there was more than one low pressure system in it that hit us after another. Usually we get a break – but not this time, he said.

The NWS tweeted: “Another strong storm will be approaching central and southern California with another threat of heavy rainfall locally in the middle of the week,” the service put tweeted.

There were more than doubled airline problems by midday on Monday, with most of the over 4,000 flight cancellations in the US at airports in Newark, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington.

The Ezekiel Winter Storm entered the West Coast for the first time on 26 November and met south Oregon and northwest as California as a bomb cycle before moving to the Midwest and doing it in the North East by 1 December.
And some states have already felt the impact of storms with huge snow in northern California, Utah, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Heavy snow was also expected in the Appalachian Mountains down to Tennessee and North Carolina.
Forecasters forecast accumulation close to 30 inches on Tuesday morning in parts of the Vermont Green Mountains.

The victims were a five-year-old boy and an eight-year-old boy who was drowned in Patton when the car was swept off an underwater road in Missouri.
Todd Dean, a Louisiana man, was killed when his third victim was swept into the White Water River.
Colby's cousins and Austin Rawlings, both of them, were found dead on Saturday. It was reported that the children were missing when brushing the truck's military style; they were into a crank at Tonto Basin near Phoenix. There were nine members of the same family in the truck.
Four children and two adults were rescued with a helicopter but the other children were left in the truck.
The teams are still searching for Willa Rawlings, a girl who is six years old and was missing and was in the truck with them. Authorities revealed Sunday that they found a shoe believed to be a Willa about 200 yards from where the truck was found in the valley.
In Utah, a six-year-old boy named Herman Slaughter died Friday after he collapsed and he hit his head while riding snow rain with his father.
They were driving in Provo Canyon when the equipment moved on suddenly and the boy fell. The Utah Sheriff's Office says that the father is not to blame in the incident.
In South Dakota a man was killed in early Friday when the pickup truck he had slipped on a road that was covered by ice near Cavour. The other two people in the truck were not seriously injured in the incident.
The storm also resulted in a death in Ontario, Canada, when the winter weather was bad and the car was accumulated on a busy highway.
