Mohammad Amir Virat Kohli is the best of this era

Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Aamir has described Virat Kohli as the best Indian captain of the season. Though he did not find it difficult to bowl against Kohli, Kohli himself is the best batsman of the season. Aamir said it was the hardest time to bowl against Steve Smith. Aamir made the remarks in an interview with Sea News. (Mohammad Amir Virat Kohli)

“In my opinion, the best batsman of this era is Virat Kohli. I have never had a hard time bowling against him but Kohli is the best batsman of all time. Personally, it has been very difficult to bowl against Steve Smith. Playing in 2009, it seemed that Shane Watson was the toughest batsman to bowl. But now it’s Smith. Because I do not understand how Smith bats. If he hits the ball outside the off stump, he will flick to the leg side. Drive to cover if kicked. I find it difficult to understand Smith batting, ”said Aamir.

Meanwhile, India will be playing against New Zealand without Kohli. New Zealand perform well in the first Test. Batting in reply to India’s first innings score of 345, New Zealand were 129 not out at stumps on the second day. Will Young (75) and Tom Latham (50) remain at the crease.

In the Indian context, the Kiwis bowlers faced a three-spin bowling line-up in the open air. The most dangerous was Will Young, who got the spinners through a great fit movement. Despite some close shaves, the New Zealand batsmen remained at the crease with no notable flaws. The bowlers were tired of bowling incessantly but could not take a single wicket.
